FAQ
When it comes to ghostwriting, you may feel a little out of the loop. Here are answers to some of the most common questions.
What is ghostwriting?
-
Ghostwriting is a form of writing where the author’s name is not credited, and the ghostwriter is hired to create the content. The ghostwriter works closely with the client to understand their vision, voice, and ideas, and then crafts the written work on their behalf. The final piece is presented as if it were written by the client, allowing them to take credit for the work without having to write it themselves.
Why should I hire a science writer for my content?
A science writer can communicate scientific concepts effectively. A skilled science writer can explain complex scientific information into concise, engaging, and accessible content that resonates with your target audience. They can translate technical jargon into layman’s terms, making scientific topics more comprehensible to a broader range of readers.
Hiring a science writer ensures you’ll receive accurate and credible content that is well-researched and backed by scientific evidence. Science writers are trained to gather information from reliable sources, critically analyze data, and present it in a clear and objective manner. The commitment to accuracy helps build trust with readers, enhancing your credibility as an authority in your field.
How does the book ghostwriting process work?
While every process is different, the Kepler Script process looks like this:
- Vision and business development interviews: We discuss your goals and aspirations for a completed book.
- Strategy session: As the final stage of the book plan development process, we’ll compile a bare-bone outline that will become a part of your final book plan.
- Contract and signing: One week after you receive your book plan and timeline, we’ll sign a contract and start the ghostwriting process.
- Interview series: We’ll dive deeper into your outline and create a blueprint for the book’s content in four 90-minute sessions.
- Writing: Your ghostwriter will write your content, providing followups that coincide with the timeline.
- Marketing strategies: During the writing process, you’ll either receive personalized marketing strategies from Kepler Script or you’ll be directed to high-performing PR companies that will do the bulk of the work for you.
- Editing and formatting: For the final month, Kepler Script’s internal editors will edit and format the book and a book cover artist will design the perfect cover.
- Beta readers: As a final step, beta readers will read your book and provide feedback to see how well it performs on the market.
- Publishing: We offer help in navigating both self-publishing and traditional publishing.
This is a tried-and-true method. We promise we’ll guide you through every step of the process.
Will you claim the rights to my content?
No.
Ghostwriters typically don’t claim rights to ghostwritten content for several reasons. First, it’s a part of the contractual agreement between the ghostwriter and the client; the ghostwriter sells the rights to the content in exchange for compensation. Second, claiming ownership could potentially reveal that the work was ghostwritten, which goes against the client’s desire to keep it confidential. Last, by relinquishing rights, ghostwriters prioritize the client’s authority and ensure that they can take full credit for the content as the author.
Can I see writing samples from my ghostwriter?
At Kepler Script, we believe in complete transparency. We will, at any time before signing the contract, provide samples of work.
We will also write an article about your book’s topic so you can see how our words will look in your book.
